Gilgal East of Jericho Where Israelites Entered Promised Land Later Ark of Covenant to Shiloh Finally to Jerusalem

Translate:

When the Israelites led by Yehoshua (Joshua) crossed the Jordan River circa 1400 b. c. into the Promised Land and camped at Gilgal (where twelve standing stones were erected representing the twelve tribes of Israel), the Manna from Heaven ceased so then Israel conquered nearby Jericho of the Canaanites. The Ark of the Covenant remained at Gilgal for the seven years it took for the Israelites to subdue the Canaanites after which it was moved twenty miles westward, up 3,300 vertical feet, to Shiloh where it remained for nearly 400 years, eventually to Jerusalem into the Temple built by king Solomon.
