Notice Mike Pence as President of U. S. Senate Did Not Urge Schumer & Pelosi to Use National Guard Offered by Trump

Why wasn’t vice president Mike Pence as concerned about what might happen on J6 as was president Trump who offered 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the Capitol? Why didn’t Pence who also was president of the U. S. Senate (the tie-breaking vote if one is needed on a bill) urge Senate leader Chuck Schumer (and Pelosi) to embrace president Trump’s wise counsel to protect the Capitol?
