At the CPAC convention today in Dallas, the straw poll taken shows 69% of the attendees for Trump to be the 2024 Republican presidential nominee to 24% for DeSantis who without Trump running beats the field resoundingly at 65% followed by Donald Trump Jr. at 8%. Trump won the CPAC straw poll in February at 59% then in July at 70%, thus though he may be topped-out now, he leads DeSantis by nearly 3 to 1, and at least 10 to 1 over all of the other prospective candidates.
