Electric Reliability Council of Texas Asks Citizens to Conserve Because Windmills at 10% Capacity in Period of High Demand

ERCOT is asking Texans to cutback their electricity use because the windmills are only producing at 10% of their capacity, not much wind in the summer doldrums, who’d have thunk it? When blackouts rolled through California in the summer of 2020, governor Gavin Newsom said to “sober up,” that “back-up supplies of energy are needed to produce electricity,” which would have certainly been a good talking for the ad he ran in Florida, oil, gas, and coal reliable for our electricity grids.
