Were there any police in the vicinity of the July 4th parade in Highland Park (north shore of Chicago) who could have pinpointed the upstairs location in the building where the murderer was shooting and thereby surrounded the location looking for whomever would come downstairs (or ladder) to leave? You’d think there would have been a dozen police or more in the immediate area for that big event, so what did they do while the guy was firing dozens of rounds from upstairs in that building?
