If Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump come into agreement that should Trump run, DeSantis will join him on the ticket, without contesting Trump in the primary, it’s hard to imagine who would come anywhere close to challenging Trump for the Republicans’ nomination for president in 2024, and DeSantis as vice president for four years watching the quintessential constitutional nationalist Trump operate would gain him so much great experience, then primed to run in 2028.
