Cadiz at the southern tip of Spain near Gibraltar was named for Gades the twin brother of Atlas whose father “Poseidon” was the namesake of nearby (Medina) Sidonia, Canaan’s son Sidon, whose other sons settled such as the Azore Islands (Azaes) and the region where today is Lisbon (Elasippo), building by the sons of Sidon begun at Menouthis by Sidon’s son Mneseus now submerged in Aboukir Bay at the extinct Canopic distributary of the Nile, that city undoubtedly taken by Menes (maybe Canaan’s brother Misor?) of Egypt when he united upper and lower Egypt early in the Ice Age which followed Noah’s Flood.
