Assad of Syria and Putin are tight, so thousands of Muslim Syrian mercenaries are being recruited to fight for the Russian army in Ukraine, joining the Muslim Chechans reportedly fighting there for Russia already, clearly with little success, yet Putin does now seem to have charge over millions of Muslims willing to fight for him, if not to win in Ukraine then to try southward toward the Holy Land?
