If legacy-conscious Russian president Vladimir Putin did not intend to concentrate on only the border regions of eastern Ukraine going forth in his military adventurism, he would not have said today that he’s pulling back from Kiev in north central Ukraine, his announcement meant to be a signal that he knows his army would be ground down to nothing should heavy fighting continue, it’s Putin hoping for some peace deal soon before he’s driven out of Ukraine completely.
