On the NCAA basketball pregame show, Charles Barkley commented that Kentucky coach Rick Pitino should not have put a defender on the baseline to harry Grant Hill’s long pass to Christian Laettner rather left Hill unguarded, putting that defender on Laettner, one defender in front of him, one behind, after all, as Barkley pointed-out, 3/4 court long passes are not affected by a defender on the baseline.
