The Russian army is composed of conscripts who serve two years then out, not a veteran force rather young guys in many cases forced to serve because it’s mandatory, so many of those are surely feeling like they should be fighting on the other side, for Ukraine, their Slavic brothers seeking to be peaceful neighbors with Russia not at war when none was called for by any legitimate measure.
