When the Ice Age ended, vast tracts of land opened up north of Thrace to where many of the Thracians migrated, bringing their god Zalmoxis, later known as Zemelia in the Slavic languages which therefore clearly were of Thracians, that god Zalmoxis after the Ice Age also brought to the Hellespont isthmus by the tribe Bryges, Thracians become known as the Phrygians who worshipped that god Semele (Zemilia). The Thracian language spread and evolved to become the various Slavic languages northeastern Europe while that language was subsumed by the Greek language of the Hellespont and western Turkey.
