Over a thousand years after the lives of Kush and his son Rama (see Genesis 10), the Ramayana was written stating that Kush was a son of Rama, both who started the Indus Valley Civilization by founding Kushasthali (now submerged in the Gulf of Kutch) and Kushinagar to east of the Hindu Kush mountains, in the region of the Ganges and its tributary the Yamuna river which during the days of the Indus Valley Civilization (the Ice Age) flowed into the drainage basin of the mighty Saraswati river, its remnant since the end of the Ice Age the Ghagar-Hakra river course.
