Some say the Indalo Man of southern Spain depicted in ancient art is holding the ends of a rainbow which arches overhead, yet the region of Andalus (Andalusia) was named for Indalo, Andalus, or Atlas, the arch he holds indicative that he measured the earth by the apparent movement of the stars due to precession of the earth’s axis.
