Many of the 3,000 who were added to the body of born again believers in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost were Jews come from afar, to Jerusalem to offer the First Fruits of their late spring harvests, from Syria, Egypt, and Arabia, when the Apostles preached in foreign tongues for the many to believe.
