During the flu season every year in the U. S., hospitals often fill to capacity or very near that, treating people with the flu which kills about 50,000 Americans annually (and about 15,000 by RSV), so with the hospitals filled in the wintertime already by flu patients, the wuhan pandemic resulted in even more hospitalizations commensurate with maybe 100,000 more dead, by the wuhan, certainly not 800,000!
