Typically in the U. S. every year about 40,000 Americans die of influenza virus infection and about 15,000 by respiratory syncytial virus infection, so considering that the CDC has said that about 96% of the reported deaths by the wuhan virus were actually by other causes, and the deaths by Influenza and RSV in 2020 not being reported, it’s understandable why the total deaths by all causes in 2020 were within the normal range in the preceding years.
