Haman (meaning multitude) was an Amalekite (progeny of Esau) who served as a general in the Persian army circa 450 b. c. seeking the extermination of the Jews, but his ignominious failure, as an arch Jewish rival Amalekite, will be commemorated by the name of the burial site of the army of Gog and his allies after the war of Ezekiel 38 & 39 in the Word, buried at Hamon Gog, east of the Dead Sea. The kings of the Amalekites were called Agag (like the kings in Egypt were called pharaoh), thus Gog in the Ezekiel prophecy symbolizes the hatred shown to Israel as had been demonstrated by Haman.
