General Mark Milley head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff defied the chain of command by secretly injecting himself between president Trump and the military in decision making, which obviously is grounds for court martial or much worse, no matter if Milley actually thought president Trump was going to nuke communist China because he “lost” the 2020 election. Naturally president Trump was quite upset that his closest professional allies in the White House were cowardly telling him to throw-in-the-towel after the obviously rigged election, but to say he’d nuke China in order to stay in office is absurd at face value, in addition to the fact that the American public wouldn’t have thought that too keen at all.
