The animal sacrificed by Elohim to provide the skin to cover the nakedness of Adam and Eve after their sin of rebellion was symbolic of the Messiah to come, the Lamb of Elohim, yet Adam and Eve could have rejected the coverings provided instead to have remained in rebellion, but they didn’t, the first couple also the first to be saved by grace, having accepted Elohim’s gift in repentance.
