By the Greek Solon’s day circa 600 b. c., the Egyptian priests at Sais who informed him about Atlantis (later told to Plato) said that the sinking of Atlantis had caused the Strait of Gibraltar to be blocked, yet Herakles (Hercules) circa 1300 b. c. had sailed to the land of the Atlantean Gades (a grandson of Posidon the Canaanite Sidon), in the story of Hercules sailed to Erytheia “at the end of the earth” where he killed the giant Geryon, about a century after Atlantis had been consumed by the sea, the Ice Age ended.
