If Biden had removed all the U. S. armaments and transport vehicles from Afghanistan (many of which now are in Pakistan and Iran) during the U. S. pullout, doing it would certainly have emboldened the Taliban to swoop in even faster than they did (although the armaments would’ve been removed), so the only other option in lieu of those two would’ve been for the U. S. military to stay, to bolster the resolve of the Afghan army (and Air Force) and maintain a foothold in that region of strategic value.
