President Trump said that he intended to pullout of Afghanistan, but considering the Pentagon and the Intel agencies having advised Biden to not pullout completely, it’s a good bet that Trump at least would have conducted an orderly withdrawal including about 20,000 Afghanis who’d helped the U. S. military, yet wouldn’t a U. S. airbase or two maintained in Afghanistan have continued geopolitical influence in that region with Iran to the west and China plus Pakistan to the east?
