Adam and Eve by hand took the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, so Jesus (“the last Adam”) was wounded in his hands (probably through the wrists) for their sin, and the Word in Genesis predicts that Satan would bite the heel of the Messiah who in turn though would crush the head of Satan, so Jesus wounded in His feet too, on the Cross, the tree, symbolic of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which Adam and Eve transgressed. Eve had come from the side of Adam, so Jesus wounded in His side, other great insights such as these in the Jason Sobel’s great book Mysteries of the Messiah.
