The greed of king Solomon manifested in harsh labor practices caused the northern tribes of Israel to break-off from Judah (where is Jerusalem), tellingly that the Bible says Solomon was taking-in 666 talents of gold each year which is about 25 tons per year, lots of jewelry and gold-plating!
