In 2019 which was the second year of the Russian-Syrian Archaeological Mission (run by Sevastopol State University of Crimea), the team discovered submerged stone ruins of a fortress between the port city of Tartus (where is a Russian naval base) and the island of Ruad, anciently Arwad or Arvad, and Tartus from the ancient name Antaradus (opposite Arad), a great confirmation of biblical history.
