It certainly appears that the Chicago police officer was justified in shooting Adam Toledo after gun shots had been reported in the area and Toledo having evaded arrest with a gun in his hand. The cop couldn’t have seen Toledo ditch the weapon behind the fence he was facing while he (Toledo) turned toward the officer who had no reason to believe the gun had been (sneakily) thrown behind the fence.
