Many words in Irish and Hungarian are nearly the same, no surprise considering the Irish trace their ancestry back to Magog, and the Hungarians (Magyaroks) back to Magor, reputedly a son of Magog (the name Hungary back to Ungari a grandson of Gomer). What became known as the Slavic languages were of Thrace (Tiras a brother of Magog and Gomer), after the Ice Age spread into northeastern Europe.
