Imagine being the Roman guards assigned to protect the tomb of Jesus after His crucifixion, tasked to make sure no one stole the body, and seeing the stone rolled away from the tomb opening and no body to be found, do you suppose they saw their lives flash before them knowing execution was on the way, or was the resurrection so staggering to the Romans too that those guards were freed from guilt?
