While $27 million is certainly a lot of money, had the civil suit against the City of Minneapolis by Team George Floyd gone forward in court, perhaps three to five times that much could have been won by the prosecution, so having settled the case could be telling us that the prosecutors in that civil suit and in the criminal case know that suspects constrained by a knee on the neck was in the Minneapolis police manual, which thereby can be defended a legal maneuver, no intention to excessively harm, particularly considering Floyd had told the officers he was not on drugs (acting crazy anyway in fear of jail).
