To say that security was lax at the Capitol on Jan. 6th for the sake of “the optics” of the situation is also to say that the establishment types wouldn’t have wanted to show that many of the 500,000 Trump supporters there could’ve been bent on invasion, or at least the agents provocateur known in the midst.
