Ted Cruz has a fireplace in his home which they had been using until deciding to go to Cancun, while hundreds of thousands of Houstonians had no fireplace, and many with a fireplace though not having enough firewood stored for three days of constant burning, so assuming Cruz had sufficient firewood, and had no other place in Texas to go, it’s not a good look for the senator who certainly showed poor political judgment considering the dire circumstances.
