Barack Obama’s election in 2008 was a real wake-up-call for authentic conservatives who were already mostly disappointed about George W. Bush’s performance and became greatly alarmed with Obama’s socialist agenda, so those conservatives became part of the Tea Party movement, ongoing, now Trump leading the way with verve and panache, election integrity the goal these days.
