In 2016 when vice president Sleepy Joe was in the UAE speaking to the troops, they didn’t clap when Biden thought they should have, so Sleepy prompted them saying “you’re supposed to clap now you stupid bastards, what a dull bunch, must be slow around here.” Sleepy was supposedly just kidding, but surely there are better ways to prompt applause from the troops, maybe like poor Jeb(!) who famously requested from a tiny rally crowd during the 2016 campaign, “please clap.”
