In Plato’s story about Atlantis, the Egyptian priests at Sais while explaining Atlantis to the greek Solon informed him that his goddess Athena was the same as their Egyptian goddess Neith (or Nut), whom the Berbers far to the west in the region of the Atlas mountains called Tanit (land of Nit or Neith), and Posidon plus Atlas were Berber gods too, really ancestors of whom the people of Athens (named for Athena) were aware by their conflict with “the Titans” of Atlantis far to the west.
