There can be little doubt that atl in Atlantic, Atlahua (a Nahuatl sea god), Atlantis, and Atlit Yam came from a common Canaanite source, Atlas, a son of Posidon (father Sidon) who was a son of Canaan, so could the etymology of the word water have to do with atl (l’s sometimes pronounced as w’s)? Atlit Yam, submerged since the end of the Ice Age, means the water roars in Hebrew, the language and alphabet adopted by the Canaanites just after the Tower of Babel.
