The “protestant work ethic” is a continuance of the teachings in the Old Testament, for instance in the book of Proverbs, and in Genesis where Adam and Eve learned that because of their sin they and their posterity would have to work for their sustenance, the protestant work ethic which brought prosperity to Europe (after the Reformation) and later the driving force behind the great American success story, nothing to do with whiteness rather by faith in the Word.
