When asked tonight by Joy Reid on MSNBC why she allowed thousands of protesters into the streets while not allowing church congregations to gather, Washington D. C. mayor Muriel Bowser responded that church congregations are precluded according to the phased reopening plan, and that gatherings for free speech (the protests) are exempt, as if religious expression is not free speech!
