When the Ice Age ended, newly founded Sarepta between Sidon (to the north) and Tyre (to the south) became the dominant city of Iron Age Phoenicia (named for Phoenix a son of Cadmus), where the Ugarit script was used, of the Amorites (progeny of Canaan) for whom became known the land of Amorica on the Brittany coast of France, and far to the west, America, the way known during the Ice Age proven by maps such as the Piri Reis and Oronteus Finnaeus which were drawn from ancient source maps.
