Anecdotal evidence is mounting that the wuhan virus was infecting probably millions of Californians in December and January, stories of people with symptoms who tested negative for influenza when no tests for the wuhan were available, the wuhan having been brought by travelers to and from China. The New York City area and states surrounding were infected later by travelers to and from Europe which had been infected by travelers to and from China in the timeframe that California was being infected.
