In the U. S. annually about 3,000,000 people die by a wide range of causes, every year about 1.5% of them by the common flus, so if 100,000 die of the wuhan virus this year, it would represent only about 3% of the deaths in the U. S. whereas the common flus have been killing at half that rate for decades.
