The estimated number of Americans infected by one of the various influenza viruses this flu season is 38 million nationwide, of those about 30,000 who have died of it, while the wuhan-corona virus has killed about 500 people, out of perhaps 5 million nationwide, which would make the mortality rate by the common influenza viruses ten times more than by the wuhan-corona.
