In the Table of Nations (Genesis 10) are listed the progeny of Canaan, among them Sidon who became known as Posidon, and the Amorites, some of whom where giants (such as king Og of Bashan), evidence of them found in ancient graves in the eastern U. S. (noted by the Smithsonian during the 19th century), many in Kentucky, having sailed across the Atlantic during and after the Ice Age, the Amorites who were known as the Amurru or the Amaru, Amaruca for which was named America.
