Republican senators Mittens Romney and Mike Lee have been pushing S.386 which would remove the per-country cap on the number of employment based visas granted per year so that tech workers from India will be allowed to pour in working for much lower wages than would go to U. S. citizens from the companies growing on the “Silicon Slopes” of the Salt Lake City area. The biggest tech company there now is Adobe Systems, which is being run by Shantanu Narayen, from India, leaving the U. S. citizen graduates of Utah’s colleges and universities high and dry.
