When you consider that almost half of all Republicans nationwide preferred Ted Cruz over Trump in the 2016 Republican presidential primary, mostly because they had good reason to fear the unknown about the rambunctious Trump (would he keep his promises?), and that now almost all of those who had been trepidatious about candidate Trump absolutely love what he’s done so far, many of them campaigning for him enthusiastically, the solidarity now within Republican ranks for president Trump plus growing outspoken support for him from many alarmed Democrats and Independents fearing socialism and weak national defense could add at least 10 million votes to Trump’s 63,000 popular vote total in 2016.
