Democrats Need 51 to 49 Vote for Witnesses to Be Called Because Majority Vote of Senate Needed Not Roberts

Translate:

Some political pundits for the left and Never Trumpers are saying that if there’s a 50-50 vote in the Senate to call for witnesses in the Senate proceedings on impeachment, then chief justice John Roberts should cast the deciding vote, yet the Constitution says a majority of Senators need pass a resolution in an impeachment trial (with no stipulation that the presiding justice cast the deciding vote), thus should there be a tie it would count as voted down, unless Roberts decides to pull another fast one.
