While the Democrats ostensibly would love to extend the impeachment trial up-to-and-through the president’s State of the Union address on Feb. 4th, they know that in so doing it would hurt Sleepy Joe (more in the scandal limelight), and would keep Crazy Bernie, Amy K, and Poc Warren off the campaign trail, seeing the Iowa caucus the day before the State of the Union, the pressure is certainly on.
