If president Trump really were in cahoots with Vlad Putin, then why would he (Trump) last week have threatened sanctions on the Swiss-Dutch company AllSeas which had been laying the pipe on the Baltic Sea floor for the Russians’ new pipeline Nord Stream 2 to transport and sell gas to Germany? Russia is now forced to finish laying the pipe on the seafloor with her relatively archaic equipment, so how secure do the Germans feel about Russia supposedly ensuring the environmental safety of their waters?
