While not conducting a public signing ceremony, president Trump did sign the Hong Kong Human Rights & Democracy Act for which thousands gathered in the streets for the Hong Kong Thanksgiving Assembly last night to offer thanks to the U. S. (even playing her national anthem) for supporting their quest for freedom from the Communist China. The government of China has not offered a statement about the act passed by Congress and signed by president Trump, who is not commenting about it either, so it’s another step in the art-of-the-deal, a little more pressure on China.
