Bribery is the only crime specifically mentioned in the impeachment language in the U. S. Constitution, because in the early days of the Country, during the Revolutionary War days, Britain was constantly trying to bribe U. S. and state government officials, like a soft coup rather than the warfare being lost by the Brits. So in the case of president Trump, vacuously accused of bribery, the Democrats are labeling “carrot-and-stick diplomacy” or “the art of the deal” as bribery, far afield from what the Founders were talking about, and in fact they would congratulate president Trump on his creative deal making in order to Make America Great and then to Keep America Great.
